We review Man Utd’s semi-ironic mauling of Wolves, discuss the reaction to Fabrice Muamba’s collapse at White Hart Lane, weigh up the Champions League and Europa League draws, Dave Richards sobriety or otherwise and welcome TopDrawerSoccer.com‘s Travis Clark into the studio to discuss the US U-23 team as they prepare for this week’s CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying tournament.
Albert, Daryl and Peyton discuss the Liverpool v. Wolves English Premier League soccer match and the Sporting KC vs Philadelphia Union Major League Soccer game, as well as Michael Bradley’s first two starts for Chievo and a quick round of the Wikipedia Game featuring Scandinavian soccer players and a debate about what constitutes Scandinavia.
We review a dramatic final day in the Premier League, where five teams battled to avoid relegation and we swiveled our heads to watch as many TVs as possible. It was everything the final day of a soccer season should be, at least at the bottom end of the table.
So… on this past weekend’s show we reviewed the Seattle vs Portland game, and were less than complimentary about ESPN studio analyst Alexi Lalas’ improv skills. Turns out we should be a little more careful who we talk about on our little podcast, because Lalas was listening and was in touch via Twitter to let us know.

If you want to see the big games then sometimes you have to get up early. The famous Old Firm Derby between Celtic and Rangers was a Sunday, 7:30 am pay per view event at Gus’ Bar & Grill, in the very pleasant company of the Central Virginia & Richmond Cetic Supporters.
Said group was happy as Celtic won 3-0, and we had plenty to talk about in the studio afterwards. We also very briefly discuss WBA 1-1 Wolves, plus what (if anything) MLS could learn from the NBA Dunk Competition and the NHL All-Star Game. Click play above to listen.

Hello again and welcome to the weekend! There are indeed some tasty competitions over the next two days. So much so, in fact, that I’m currently diagramming how best to position my living room so as to allow me to watch three games on Saturday morning. World peace? International politics? No. These are the issues I choose to involve myself with… at least on Friday mornings. Anyway, here’s an abbreviated look at the American TV schedule this weekend.

Our game of the week was Manchester City vs Wolves, which finished 4-3 to the better financed team. Wolves worked hard, but Carlos Tevez was the difference. We also talk MLS 2011 Superdraft and close the show with the Wikipedia Game.
